2025 Year-End Update from the Canfield Family

As this year comes to a close, I want to share an important update from our family along with some reflections on what has been a year of growth, momentum, and gratitude. If you’ve watched the video above, here is a fuller written summary that you can return to anytime.

Our Family’s Move to Calgary

After a great deal of thought, prayer, and conversation, our family has decided to move back to Alberta, settling in the Calgary area. This decision is rooted first and foremost in family. Our parents are now in their late seventies into their mid-eighties, and we want our kids to have more meaningful time with their grandparents while we still have that opportunity. That window is precious, and we don’t want to miss it.

Along with the family focus, there are some meaningful fringe benefits. Calgary will give our kids access to a more collaborative, entrepreneurial private school environment that aligns with how they naturally learn. We will still be able to enjoy the mountains, lakes, and natural beauty that have become part of our rhythm here in Chilliwack. We’re looking forward to a bit more space and comfort in our home, and the financial side doesn’t hurt either—reduced travel costs and saving roughly five hundred dollars per month without PST will make a real difference.

British Columbia has been incredibly good to our family. We’ve been blessed with wonderful friendships and the privilege of serving so many amazing clients. Thank you for making this chapter so meaningful. While our home base is shifting, our commitment to serving clients across Canada remains exactly the same.

A Year of Growth for Wealth on Main Street

This has also been a year of tremendous growth for our educational platforms. The Wealth on Main Street YouTube channel has now surpassed fifty-five hundred subscribers, and bringing all production in-house during the second half of the year has taken everything to a new level.

Our Innovate & Overcome television show and YouTube channel have also seen strong growth. If you haven’t subscribed yet, you can visit InnovateAndOvercome.com to follow along.

Our private Wealth on Main Street Facebook community has continued to expand as well, now surpassing thirty-two hundred members. The conversations, encouragement, and collaboration in that group continue to inspire me. You’re welcome to join us any time by visiting WealthOnMainStreet.com/community.

Personal Reflections and Health Wins

On a personal note, 2025 has been a year of returning to some core habits. With a few simple diet changes, a walking pad treadmill, and a more intentional morning routine, I’ve been able to lose twenty pounds. I set the goal to cross four million steps again this year, and as of this recording, I’m averaging about eleven-and-a-half thousand steps a day. If that pace continues, I should end the year around 4.1 million. It has been a strong reminder that small, consistent habits compound over time.

Book Publishing Milestones

Since releasing our first book in 2022, we have now published five books, with total sales between eight thousand and eighty-five hundred copies. This includes Amazon, Audible, and sales through our Ascendant shop. Publishing has been an incredible learning experience and a rewarding way to reach more families.

We also have two new book projects in development for the first quarter of 2026:

If you would like updates when those books launch, pre-registration is available at NextGenIBC.com.

We are also considering a workshop or webinar on self-publishing in the new year to share what we’ve learned. You can let us know if that interests you through the survey on this page.

Elite Advisor Network Launch in 2026

One of the major initiatives coming in the new year is the official launch of the Elite Advisor Network. This mentorship and leadership platform has been years in the making. It’s designed to support advisors who want to grow, scale, and deepen their abilities in serving families through the Infinite Banking Concept. I’m excited to share more about it with you soon.

Looking Ahead to Think Tank

The annual Nelson Nash Institute Think Tank is around the corner. For the first time in several years, I won’t be emceeing the event. My friend Jonah Dew from the Banking Brothers will be taking on that role, and he is going to do a fantastic job.

I will still be leading the Connection Zone sessions across both days, which is something I have truly grown to love. Those conversations continue to strengthen this movement in meaningful ways.

Building Local Community in 2026

One of my goals moving into 2026 is to begin piloting localized, volunteer-driven Infinite Banking community events across the country. I will be facilitating one of our first groups once our family is settled in Calgary, and we already have several volunteers in other parts of Canada who are interested in helping build these local communities.

If attending or helping lead a local event interests you, please share your thoughts in the survey.

Your Feedback Makes a Real Difference

We’ve put together a short, thoughtful year-end survey to help shape our content, events, and educational resources going into 2026. Everyone who completes it will be entered into a draw for a one-hundred-and-fifty-dollar gift card.

Inside the survey you’ll be able to share:

And there is one light-hearted question as well: should I keep the beard in 2026? For fairness, Heather gets twenty bonus votes, and the kids each get five.

Closing Thoughts

As we wrap up this year, I want you to know how much I appreciate being part of your financial journey. This community has now grown into a movement of more than fifty-five hundred people who are learning to take control of their money, think long-range, and strengthen their family legacy.

Thank you for your trust, your support, and your belief in the work we’re doing. It’s an honor to walk this path with you.

From our whole family — Richard, Heather, Nathan, and Nora — we wish you a Merry Christmas, a meaningful New Year, and many opportunities to build your bigger future in the year ahead.
